I’ve been on the hunt for non-HFCS soda for quite some time, and most recently have been finding solace in Red Bull Cola. Thankfully, Pepsi Throwback is on its way.

What are the odds that 2 of my fellow employees also brought leftover Sloppy Joes for lunch?
I’ve previously mentioned my playing around with HubDub, “The News Prediction Game” where you place bets on random stuff and try to win big. Well, I’ve been with it for about 6 months, so I felt compelled to post an update on my progress.
I’m ranked in the top 10% of users with a total net worth of $7,449 – they start you out with $100. And going by what I can gather on the leaderboards, there are probably around 10,000 people playing, but that guess could be way off. Anyway, here’s a graph of my worth. The green shaded are represents my total worth, while the red line represents my “cash” and the blue line represents the value of any wagers I’ve made. As you can see, I’ve lately put most of my money into betting.

Its been fun. Pretty simple and straightforward, and with a little common sense, you can do real well. It almost makes real gambling seem appealing. Almost.
This thing has been making the blog-rounds recently, and its a neat little game/quiz. I scored a measly 35 on my first try.
As part of my birthday present, Carrie took me to the movies, my choice. So, we decided on Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the newest Judd Apatow (Superbad, 40 Year Old Virgin) flick.
It was awesome! The entire cast was hilarious, and rarely did a gag go by without drawing at least a broad smile from one of us. If you’ve seen either of the 2 above Apatow creations, then you know what to expect, more or less, in terms of the type of humor – crude and awesome.
I have to say that Mila Kunis does an amazing job here, and there’s no doubt she’ll be moving on to many, many more projects thanks both to this, and That 70’s Show. The star, Jason Segel, who also wrote the flick, is also undoubtedly bound for greatness. Stellar comedic timing on both their parts, and they deliver the characters in a way that makes them both hilarious and real, which is no easy task in a comedy such as this.
Its not often that I see a comedy in the theater, but am I ever glad I did for this one!
9/10
Despite my earlier disbelief, it’s real. And it’s my largest bonus to date, and really couldn’t have come at a better time.
Huzzah!
